In 2003, Phil moved his family of six to Brevard, North Carolina as part of an overall lifestyle change, and to focus exclusively on the core aspects of naming, branding and corporate identity. The idea for Tungsten was inspired by Thomas Edison’s devotion to finding a metal strong enough to produce brilliance… the brilliance of light itself. Phil now works with a select team of namers, designers, copy writers, artists and brand strategists to develop new company and product identities, and/or to re-brand and re-ignite old ones. In the past six years alone, Tungsten has helped to name, brand and re-position over 200 local, national and international firms. Phil has written for, or been interviewed by, Inc. Magazine, Entrepreneur.com, AOLSmalllBusiness.com, TV Guide, New York’s Newsday and various other industry specific publications. He also speaks regularly to business organizations on topics relating to effective brand strategies.
